Property for sale in Casares.
A white village on a hill and, down on the coast, Casares Playa, a quieter stretch of beachfront between Estepona and Manilva with lower prices for a sea view.
Homes in Casares, newest first.
What Casares is like.
The village of Casares is the one on the postcards: white houses stacked up a crag under a castle, with eagles overhead and the Sierra Bermeja behind. It is a real village with bars in the square and a slower pace than anywhere on the coast.
Casares Costa, ten minutes below it, is where most of the homes for sale are: apartment communities and townhouses between the motorway and the sea, around two golf courses and a small marina. It is quieter than Estepona and much quieter than Marbella, and the same sea view costs a good deal less.
Where to look in Casares
- Casares Playa
Apartments and townhouses along the beach and the Bahía de Casares, most in communities with pools and gardens.
- Doña Julia and Finca Cortesín
Homes around the golf courses. Finca Cortesín is the top end, with a hotel and a championship course.
- Casares village
Village houses and the occasional country home. Views and quiet, with a car essential.
The practical bits
- Málaga airport
- About an hour and a quarter. Gibraltar airport is around thirty-five minutes, with direct UK flights.
