The town

What Rincón de la Victoria is like.

Rincón de la Victoria is the first town east of Málaga, on the stretch of coast known as the Axarquía. It is where people from the city come to live by the sea, so it feels Spanish all year: a long promenade, a beach, a Saturday market, a cave to visit and not many tourists.

For a buyer from the UK the appeal is Málaga itself. The city, its old town, its restaurants, its museums and its airport are twenty minutes away, and a home here costs a good deal less than the same home west of the city. The sea views along the coast road are as good as anywhere.

Where to look in Rincón de la Victoria

Apartments along the promenade and the streets behind it. Walk to the beach and the shops.

  • La Cala del Moral

  • Torre de Benagalbón

The eastern end, with a beach, a golf course and newer communities on the hill.

  • Benagalbón and the hills

The village inland, and country homes with views over the coast.
